Mixed Berry fat Buster
Ingredients
25 grams Whey Protein Powder
80 grams Raspberries
80 grams Blueberries
50 grams Blackberries
200ml water
Place all the ingredients in a blender and serve when fully blended.

Spicy Turkey Burgers
Spicy turkey burgers are low in carbohydrate, high in protein but best of all, they are very tasty!
The ingredients for the spicy turkey burgers are listed below:
500g (18 oz) minced Turkey
2 teaspoons Thai Red curry paste
2 small or 1 large egg (beaten)
2 tablespoons of cornflour
Zest of 1 lime
Small bunch of Coriander
2 spring onions finely chopped
1 medium red chill de-seeded and diced fresh or 1/2 a dried chilli
Low fat cooking spray
Here is the cooking method to make the perfect burgers:
Place the minced turkey, red curry paste and about half the egg into a bowl and mix thoroughly.
Add the cornflour, zest of lime, coriander, spring onion and chilli and mix well with your fingers.
Add the rest of the egg to bind the mixture.
Divide the mixture into 8 portions then roll each into a ball then flatten slightly to make a burger.
Heat a large frying pan and spray with low fat cooking spray.
Turn the heat up high and seal on both sides.
Lower the heat and then fry gently (in batches) for about 6 minutes each side until golden and cooked through.
Serve with vegetables or a salad.
These are also delicious served cold and if you dont want them burger size you can make them smaller and serve them as a starter or a handy snack when you want something savoury in-between meals.
OPTI Oat Cookies
Instead of reaching for a chocolate bar try making your own Opti Oat Cakes. They are easy to make and are perfect for that mid morning snack!
The main ingredients are shown below:
85g (3oz) natural oats
85g (3oz) raisins
85g (3oz) mixed crushed nuts
1 scoop Opti Whey Protein
30g (1oz) Opti Oat Flour
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 banana, mashed
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
Method
Pre-heat oven to 180O C.
Grease baking tray.
Mix together oats, Opti Whey Protein, raisins, nuts then add egg whites, vanilla essence, mashed banana and honey or maple syrup then add Opti Oat Flour to bind together
Form into cookies (makes approximately 12) and bake on the greased tray in the oven for 10-12 minutes until slightly browned.
